Business Development Representative
Job Description
Michigan-based, Dreamscape Multimedia is looking for a seasoned sales professional to act as a
resource for the local, state and national community in assisting local small businesses, nonprofits
and government agencies in their marketing, e-business and outreach efforts. Your main goal will be to talk to organizations about their
web and marketing efforts, create winning proposals and generate
solutions for our clients and prospects. You will need to do all
this while generating an income for yourself, our contractors
and Dreamscape Multimedia. Do you feel you're up to this
opportunity? This is a fulltime, non-salaried sales position that pays
33% commission on all active accounts you establish (first time
order and recurring businesses for as long as you're a member of
the team.)
Responsibilities
Marketing, 75%
- Listen to prospective clients and advise in making buying decisions in regard to Dreamscape Multimedia's services. Conduct sales presentations if necessary.
- Represent Dreamscape Multimedia at mixers, networking events, networking groups, trade shows, and other marketing opportunities.
- Assist in locating and determining Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities for Dreamscape Multimedia and/or strategic partners.
- Assist in writing and submitting high-caliber proposals.
- Coordinate marketing calendar.
- Project required marketing budget.
- Debrief prospects after the close of bid.
Administrative, 25%
- Answer phones, coordinate messages, e-mail, follow-up, report on progress regularly.
- Develop and manage potential customer databases.
- Project management. Correspond with clients and subcontractors. Track expenses and revenues.
- Assist in the creation and documentation of business systems and processes.
- Generate and implement ideas for increasing productivity and profitability.
Developmental Goals
- Further develop public speaking and leadership skills.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of marketing and web design issues.
- Expand business network.
Terms
Agents will be sub-contractors to Dreamscape Multimedia and therefore responsible for managing their own taxes and expenses.
Compensation is based on performance. New agents will be paid commission-only until they achieve gross yearly sales of $50,000. (See Bonuses & Profit-sharing table below.)
Commission Rate
Commissions are based on net revenues, at the rate of 33%, for all orders you bring in (first time and re-orders.)

Additional Incentives
As additional sales incentive, bonuses will be given at the following rates:
- Upon reaching $300,000 in gross sales; the Agent will receive an expense account of $300 per month and a salary of $300 per month, subject to quarterly review.
- Upon reaching $500,000 in gross yearly sales; the Agent will receive an increase in expenses to $500 per month and a salary of $750 per month, subject to quarterly review.
Sales Territory
The Agent's territory includes, and is limited to, the continental United States of
America.
